Forest Rest Houses (FRHs) in Pakhro Zone
The Pakhro Zone (also spelled Palkhro / Pakharo) lies in the western part of Corbett within the Kalagarh Tiger Reserve division. It is a scenic, peaceful forest area famous for elephant movement, birdlife, and rich biodiversity. The FRHs here offer an authentic and quiet jungle stay.
The main FRHs around the Pakhro region provide tranquil accommodation, close encounters with wildlife (especially elephants and birds), and a genuine off-grid experience. Below are descriptions of some notable FRHs in and around Pakhro.

Pakhro FRH
Historic and deep inside the forest, Pakhro FRH is accessible via a jungle drive and provides basic facilities, solar power, and a rustic ambience. It's an excellent base for early morning and evening safaris, birdwatching, and experiencing nocturnal jungle sounds.

Morghatti (Pakhro Zone)
Morghatti, also described under Sonanadi earlier, sits in dense forest and is reachable via Pakhro Gate. It is known for birdlife, quiet surroundings, and proximity to deeper sections of the sanctuary.
This zone is open to visitors from October to June and is particularly prized by travellers seeking fewer crowds and more intimate wildlife encounters.
